Primary Care Diabetes Society

Primary Care Diabetes Society (PCDS) has proven to be a leading website within the SB Communications family and has proven to be one of its most successful.

It is successfully integrated with the core CMS, which manages all SB Communications sites, however the main site has its own unique CMS, which enables all aspects of the site to be managed.

The most important thing in the design process was to showcase all key elements in an easily navigable manner. This family of sites are particularly content-heavy and thus a legible layout and navigation options enabling the quick location of desired information was essential.

The site is integrated with the events modules, which are standard on all SB Communications magazine sites and also links to the forum portal with a straight forward registration form.

The site has evolved over time and continues to do so in order to improve the usability for both client and the website visitors. The latest feature to be included on the site is the automatic membership number generation. There is also now a slick export facility which allows SB Communications to regularly download members' information and sync these with their main database.

Our ongoing relationship with PCDS means that we are constantly on hand to add to the site functionality and the facilities itself. The site’s success has also led to 2 new sister sites being built to the same specification with the hope that although more simplistic, these sites will be equally successful with users and encourage increased membership sign up.
