The Assembly House Norwich

The Assembly House Norwich is one of the city’s finest Georgian Grade 1 listed buildings. This unique venue features a stunning courtyard, grand hall, restaurant/cafe and hosts hundreds of events and functions every year.

We were asked to strengthen their online brand and develop a stunning site with full content management. The venue hosts hundreds of events, we engage the user by offering filters for these events by room or by dates, presenting them in a stylish manner.

Key to the business is the ability for customers to book the grand hall as a wedding venue and for business meetings. We showcase information about the venue and each room and make it easy to enquire about bookings.

The site also features a bespoke image gallery which is content managed by Assembly House staff. This allows the stunning venue imagery to be displayed on the site.

For ease of navigation on such an extensive site, we implemented a search tool in the top right of every page.

Throughout the site we brighten the experience with a clever image fade which displays photos of the venue. Again, this content is managed entirely by the venue’s staff without the necessity for any technical knowledge.

This site has been another of our showcase sites which has brought a great deal of positive feedback and business our way. We continue to support and develop online marketing solutions for the Assembly House such as email marketing campaigns and new and innovative ways to data capture potential business leads.

The site has enjoyed a good deal of attention within the industry, it was lucky enough to scoop an Outstanding Achievement Award at the IMA Awards 2006 for Travel and Tourism.
