Ski Austria-Haus Spencer

Selesti was approached to design and build the Ski Austria website in summer 2007. The brief was to create a website to showcase two apartments which were available to rent in Filzmoos Austria.

The initial brief presented to us developed overtime but the key features of the site remained constant; this site needed to appeal to a wide audience across the world and in various languages.

The key features of the site were its three multilingual sites, two seasonal themed designs, a comprehensive and efficient live booking system and a live webcam and weather RSS feed.

Our aim was to produce a website for the client which was easy to use by both the client and potential users, while being aesthetically pleasing and offering users all the information they required for their stay at Haus Spencer.

As with many of our large sites, we recommended a phased launch. This was the approach which was taken with Ski Austria. With the site comprising of a multitude of modules, these were launched as and when completed, which enabled the site to begin generating online presence and interest without being held up by additional modules which required longer development time.

The robust content management system which was build for the client, allows them to have 100% control over the front end website. Whether this be the images on the site or the availability shown on the calendars. They are able to continuously update the site and ensure that customers are always viewing live webcams, apartment availability and weather forecasts for the area.

This site has already proved to be an incredible success, with brilliant SEO results and ever increasing visitors to the site. All of which the client can view on a daily basis, in order to analyse the traffic to their site.
