Selesti wins ‘eCommerce Developer of the Year’ at the DEAs!

We are thrilled to announce that last night we won the award for eCommerce Developer of the Year at the Digital Entrepreneur Awards UK 2017.

We were also really proud to be a finalist for the Social Media Campaign of the Year for the 4th year running, having won the accolade twice previously!

Congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted or also won last night!

“It's an amazing achievement to win this award! The team put so much into every project, we're delighted to be recognised for their hard work. A few sore heads this morning, thoroughly deserved!” says Ollie Blackmore, Managing Director.

The judges said that Selesti stood out from the competition for diving deep into data, delivering sharp strategies & measurable results.

The site launch for Winsor Bishop (a luxury jewellery retailer based in Norwich and Cambridge) showcased the benefits of our working methodology. With this project, there was a real time pressure as it was important for the new site to launch ahead of the new store opening for Winsor Bishop in Cambridge.

We worked closely with their team to design, build and launch their new website in just 12 weeks. With our Magento-certified experts on hand, we were able to turn the project around at breakneck speed, conquering with ease any challenges that got in our development team’s way.

The team at Selesti understand that there is no ‘one true way’ to solve a problem - every client and every customer has different needs. We work in a lean, agile way, monitoring performance, continuously optimising and improving.

The sites we develop are about more than just the look and feel, it’s about generating the numbers that help our clients achieve their goals. We’re delighted that the judges recognised this and rewarded our efforts.

In addition to the design and build, we managed Winsor Bishop’s entire migration from old site to new. This can be risky in terms of SEO, so our digital marketing team worked alongside our developers to implement a SEO and PPC strategy to ensure a strong recovery.

One of the key challenges was to increase conversion rate, which at the time was 0.05%. The new site saw an increase in conversion by a massive 767% (0.05% to 0.43%) and through continual measurement and optimisation. With further improvements already booked in the pipeline, we only see this getting even better over time.

We’d like to send a huge thank you to all of our wonderful clients for working with us on some really exciting projects over the past year!
