2013 has been a bonzer twelve months for Selesti search, with plenty of fresh clients and new trends to keep us entertained. Our team of four search marketing gurus have optimised countless pages of content, produced hundreds of reports and tackled the odd Google penalty our clients came to us to save them from; all in a year’s work ma’am.
It was just over a year ago that Selesti acquired OMG search, you may have heard our birthday celebrations? Sorry if we kept you up, but since we expanded our search marketing capabilities it’s been all positive news as we have been able to offer our services to an ever wider range of clients. As a fully integrated digital agency we can not only ensure that our customers have a great new website, but that it is also seen by all the right people.
Recent wins for Selesti search include The Big Issue Foundation, CGMA (the Chartered Global Management Accountants qualification) and Cass Knowledge. Each one taking advantage of our expertise in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising, or both; giving their brands’ content the online presence it deserves.
However it’s not all been about new business, we have a number of longstanding clients in search with whom we are continuing very fruitful relationships. The Health Insurance Group for one, who have now received just over a year of Selesti search and social media marketing, and are still loving it. Support Adoption For Pets have also seen some real improvements and uplift with their search presence since we began work on their campaign.
Both of these clients have received a service that covers a wide range of marketing channels, including both SEO, PPC and social media. In recent months Google’s Ad Grants have given Support Adoption For Pets an added boost, the free paid advertising helping them as a non-profit organisation to get a little extra exposure in the search engine. We’re always on the hunt for new ways to serve our clients, and this was something that we spotted that really makes a difference for charities, something The Big Issue Foundation is also soon to learn...
Clients aren’t the be all and end all though, we wouldn’t be anywhere without our fantastic team of search marketing gurus. Hayley Rissmann leads our Search Marketing team, having joined us from OMG, and instilled the processes our agency needed to deliver successful campaigns. The years of experience Hayley built up were across multiple markets delivering fantastic return on investment for OMG Search clients, many of whom followed her over at the point of the acquisition last year as a result. We backed her up with Ed Wootton, fresh out of Uni, then Keir Harness jumped on board, bringing his agency and digital marketing experience with him (in a big man-bag).
Then this summer, a UEA student applied for a short term internship. Who knew that Callum McCahon would become such a regular member of the search team whilst he completes his degree with the other hand? And we thought we’d scared this Ipswich fan off with a Norwich mug...
Now you know the current search dream team, set to expand in 2014 (get your CVs in for January), why not keep it right here on Selesti’s blog to find out more about the inner workings of Selesti HQ over the course of our 12 days of Christmas celebration.
