The brand new website for Norwich pub The Rumsey Wells has launched. Designed and built by Selesti, it's totally content managed to enable the popular city centre drinking establishment to advertise events, keep its food and drinks menus up to date and also display examples of the art which it exhibits in its cellar gallery.
The Rumsey staff based down the road from Selesti's Norwich offices can upload images, text and video content to the site in realtime, all of which will be seamlessly on-design and on-brand, without any reliance on Selesti. There are future plans to also integrate with Twitter and Facebook, the latter of which the pub is already really actively using to promote itself.
We've produced a strongly branded website designed to echo the look and feel of the self-proclaimed boozer's modern take on traditional decor, with the key motif of the gold picture frames of all shapes and sizes found throughout the venue used as content place holders. Their business is aware of the importance of its branding and was able to provide corporate fonts and guidelines, something which often isn't as coherently thought out by their less forward thinking competitors. These proprietors are out to buck the trend of pubs closing left right and centre, with fresh ideas like their seasonally-led, locally sourced Norfolk food menus and considered approach to digital marketing it's no wonder it full to bursting so regularly.
One of the most successful elements of the project has been the ease of use of the content management system. We've used 'point and click' and 'drag and drop' style features to ensure this is as straightforward to pick up as possible, as well as offering training to their administration users. We're pleased to say that the Rumsey Wells' staff's readiness with content has meant this has been one of the most proficiently and promptly populated websites we've ever launched!
