Once a month before we head down to the Selesti Tavern for drinks, games and general team bonding antics (shooting each other with nerf guns), all the teams get together for a monthly catch up. It is a time for everyone from the Design, Development, App, Client Services and Search departments to get together and hear what everyone has been up to and what to expect in the coming months.
We thought we would share this via our blog so you can be updated too (albeit a bit late - blame the Selesti Tavern!).
Early on in October we were part of a workshop for BIMA D-Day with Wymondham College, where Selestians Victoria, Emily and Owen encouraged students to come up with three unique App ideas. Read the full story at ‘Selesti To Inspire Young Digital Geniuses At BIMA Digital Day’
Selesti won Stand-Out Agency of the Year Award at the Digital Entrepreneur Awards and was shortlisted for three other awards including Web Development Project Of The Year, Best Use Of Mobile and Ecommerce Business of The Year.
On the 1st November Selesti celebrated a year of expanded Search Marketing and the acquisition of OMG Search with a Search Anniversary.
We won more contracts with lovely clients including search clients CGMA, Cass Knowledge and the Big Issue. New clients that have signed up for our award winning design and development this month are Rock Collection, Soul Heaven and Alarm Co. We also have been busy launching a Breast Feeding App for the NHS, to help new mums learn this important feeding method.
Our amazing development team have also created a new cloud Studio Management & Scheduling Tool - S.M.A.S.H. The programme includes project management tools, integrated CRM and APIs for invoicing solutions. This means already we have managed to cut the admin time on projects last month and have even more features to add to the software that will not only give us more resource, but also benefit our clients.
What we are looking forward to in November
The search team are looking forward to a training day with our client Linx Printing Technology to learn about how all their printers work, helping them gain an in depth knowledge in order to effectively market their products.
We have more workshops for students in the local area through the Zealify SME Open Day this Thursday, with UEA and Norwich University Of The Arts Students coming to visit us and 6 other exciting Norwich companies. We hope to give students a real feel of what a small business is like and look forward to the networking drinks after at the Redwell Brewery!
As well as all of this, we are launching a new exciting website for Health Insurance Group. It’s all top secret for now, but watch this space!
We would also tell you about the other awards and projects we have coming up, but are keeping them hush hush for the moment. Rest assured we will tell you as soon as we can though!
