Selesti Offers A Helping Hand To Global Dolphin Charity
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we love to support non-profits generate the visibility they need to continue their vital work. So when MD Ollie heard that Ric O’Barry’s Dolphin Project, a cause that he feels very strongly about, was looking to find more people to sign their online petition against cruelty to dolphins he got in touch right away to offer Selesti services completely free of charge.
Run by Director Ric O’Barry, who has been fighting against dolphin captivity and fishing for 38 years, this campaign aims to put an end to the Japanese slaughter of dolphins and stop the capture and trade of these amazing animals across the world. As a cause it has achieved a great deal since it started; successfully negotiating an end to dolphin slaughter in the Solomon Islands and continuing to raise awareness that captivity is cruel.
You may have seen a part of their efforts to raise awareness - Ric O’Barry’s Oscar winning documentary The Cove, which helped to highlight the dolphins’ plight to the general public. The film was made to act as a call to action for everyone to rally against cruelty to dolphins in any form, showing the horrendous slaughter of these animals in a cove near Taiji, Japan. Not only does it expose the abuse of these animals, but it also shows the potential threats to human health, the meat recovered from the dolphins being contaminated by mercury.
We were therefore properly chuffed to hear back from this fantastic cause that they would like our help to expand their digital marketing efforts, as they hope to grow awareness of the campaign and generate a petition of over 2 million signatures from 151 countries to stop cruelty to dolphins.
Our team have used their expertise with Google’s Ad Grants promotion to deliver $10,000 worth of search advertising spend every month, completely free. This is something that we have helped to deliver to clients like The Big Issue Foundation, as well as national charity Support Adoption for Pets and others to ensure they get the attention they deserve and need. Using every ounce of our search marketing genius, we will be working to get this ad spend to go as far as possible for Save Japan Dolphins, so that they can generate as much awareness online for the dolphins across the globe that count on their help.
