Selesti have been named "Stand-Out Agency Of The Year” at the Digital Entrepreneur Awards 2013.
The achievement is all the more fantastic given this special category was a judges panel selection, not an award you could enter or request to be considered for. This year’s judges panel comprised of leaders in their field, including; Mike Little, Co-founder of Wordpress, Pauline Jacquey, Managing Director at Ubisoft, and Lawrence Jones, the CEO of UKFast.
"The DEA judges felt the quality of entries in 2013 justified the creation of two special awards to recognise individuals and businesses whose passion, ambition and innovation has allowed them to stand out as leaders in the digital world". This was the message we received when nominated, and we are truly honoured by the decision of the impressive selection of judges that we have met these criteria, especially given some of the excellent competition this year.
Last night’s awards recognised the best from UK digital in 2013, and our other three nominations represented some of the best Ecommerce and mobile focused work we have launched for our clients in the last year. The main criterion judges wanted to celebrate was those projects that strived to stand out from the crowd. Bare Naked Foods was the nomination for Ecommerce Business Of The Year, recognising our hard work to deliver a great looking and fully functional site in time for their owner Ross’ appearance on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den.
7BillionIdeas also caught the eye of the judges. The unique and inspirational social media platform that we launched last year was nominated for the Best Use Of Mobile category. This coming after the project work we completed for this long standing client was commended at the DADI Awards 2012. What better way to show our prowess in the essential digital marketing discipline of mobile than with this fantastic mobile app, companion to the fast growing platform which has clocked up tens of thousands of ideas and comments in the last 12 months.
The work that was nominated for Web Development Project Of The Year relates to our Pets at Home retainer looking after Support Adoption For Pets. We are proud just to have helped this fantastic animal charity raise over £2 million by developing and evolving a digital campaign that is creative and stylish, promoting a website which is easy for the hundreds of rescue centres nationwide they work with to use. They provide the online tools for these smaller charities to rehome pets, as well as apply for grants and funding.
If you want to congratulate the team personally on their hard work to win this award, or just want to talk to us about having our now multi-award winning team work on your own Ecommerce, mobile or web development project, give us a shout!
