"TacheTag" is available for free to iPhone users in the App Store from this morning. Selesti have created the app for clients Scottish Opera, in conjunction with their participation in the nationwide Movember charity campaign.
The current production Scottish Opera are touring is Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, playing to Inverness, Aberdeen and Edinburgh before the end of this month. The males in the cast are all growing facial hair in support of the Movember cause, which annually aims to raise money and awareness of men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
Selesti’s iPhone app “TacheTag” allows users to take photos of their friends, family and colleagues using the phone’s native camera within the app, and choose from a variety of musichall and theatrical moustaches to apply. There’s a template and frame to use whilst adding the facial hair so you can get the new “Mo” perfectly in place.
The pictures are then uploaded automatically with the TacheTag community, which Scottish Opera have a web interface to moderate and access all media. In addition the images the users create can be saved to their camera roll and shared using the iPhone’s SMS and email tools. The project is a creative way for them to virally market the "Mo Bros" sponsorship page, along with providing their first presence in this essential marketing space. The iPhone app has been delivered as part of the ongoing relationship Selesti has with Scottish Opera, as their digital marketing agency.
More Selesti Apps are in the pipeline for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. For now, download the TacheTag App for free and enjoy! Please pass on to friends and give us your feedback.
