Visit Norfolk 2012 - Closer than you think to London

Selesti we will be the Digital Marketing agency behind the Visit Norfolk 2012 online campaign in the lead up to the London 2012 Olympics. Having also recently worked with The Broads Authority on their Outdoors Festival website, we're looking forward to continuing our success with promoting Norfolk once again.

We've been appointed today to help raise the profile of Norfolk as the closest major holiday destination to London - just 90 minutes by train to the Olympic Park. Norfolk is the perfect base for a relaxing summer holiday in 2012 which can easily be combined with a couple of days at the Games as well.

Us locals and anyone who's taken the time to visit know that Norfolk has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK with miles of gorgeous sandy, unspoilt beaches. There's a huge choice of places for a great day out and of course Norfolk’s capital Norwich, an ancient city with some of the finest medieval architecture in Britain. Our job will be helping Visit Norfolk 2012 promote this to the wider world on the back of the Olympics.

Norfolk digital agency Selesti will be managing the digital marketing throughout the months leading up to the Games and beyond. This includes creative direction, microsite development and a co-ordinated digital road map with Community Management, Social Media, Email marketing and Search Engine Optimisation.

The microsite we'll design and develop for Visit Norfolk 2012 will allow for rich media content management and integrated user generated content to create buzz and interest.

A dedicated account management team here at Selesti will manage their Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Vimeo accounts on a day-to-day basis and ensuring activity across all channels is measured as part of the ongoing campaign support. The groundwork of this campaign is underway already, look out for updates in the coming weeks!

Visit Norfolk 2012 is already receiving strong backing from businesses, councils and groups throughout Norfolk and beyond. For example, businesses are being encouraged to sign up to the Fair Pricing Charter which offers visitors reassurance and confidence they're operating fair and reasonable trading practices, and not over-inflating prices!
